It took a lot of work, but Arcane Quest patch 3.0 is finally here!
There are too many news to be listed!
– 4 new heroes and 6 new creatures
– New quest with randomly generated dungeons
– New Hardcore mode with limited saves and heroes do not respawn
– New achievements and trophies to be unlocked
– Lot of new equipment, rings, amulets, shields and so
– New spells categories: air, earth, evocation
– New special abilities specific for each hero
– Changed the camera to follow hero movements
– Increased the speed of dice rolling and dialogs opening
– New summoned creatures, controlled by the CPU
– Possibility to search furniture
– Possibility to pass items between heroes
– Possibility to exit the game without saving
– And a lot, lot more for you to discover!
First off AWESOME game! really brings me back to the good old days.
And now for my suggestions, I have a few but still think the game is amazing as is!
1) The weapons seem a bit pointless since they still SET your attack dice instead of adding to them, since most people start with 2 attack they have no use for most weapons which will do just the same LOL! Make these +attirbutes as with the armours
2) Further to 1, will there be any constant ranged weapons etc like a cross bow?! Losing the throwing axe is a bit daft since u cant equip a melee weap too and hence u get one go at 3 attack with this weapon.
3) If the assassin cant attack with a weap…..shouldn’t their base attack be 3?
3) Any chance of bringing in the dungeons and quests from the original Heroquest game?! Possibly some have tried to recreate these in the editor….but an official version would be perfect

Amen to what the good Doctor says, above. Weapons should be a plus to Attack, rather than a fixed value.
Also, please allow characters to have a single melee and a single ranged weapon. You won’t unbalance the game (much), as you can make it a one hit wonder, just like special abilities. And if you decide to implement bows/crossbows/pistols, you can always limit their ammunition. Perhaps even add ammo to treasure types?
After a few games I find the Assassin singularly useless. Her Attack is too low, and inflicting a hit (x2) should also force TWO successful saves.
Evoker… perhaps I need to learn to use her properly, but ATM she seems like so much chaff.
Conversely, I adore the Ranger and the Cleric, as well as changes to the old 4 characters. Very, um, characterful 🙂
New items, while DEFINITELY a step in the right direction, tend to be an either/or. Why not both? Why not Zoidberg? Let’s have the following categories instead!
Melee weapon / Ranged Weapon / Body Armour / Shield / Helmet / Gloves or Greaves / Shoes / Amulet or Talisman / Ring (Left Hand) / Ring (Right Hand)
I understand that getting them all would require a long-haul dungeon (perhaps even 20+ levels), but what joy it would be to build such a powerhouse character!
Plus, of course, many MANY thanks for making the game. It brings back fond memories 🙂

Seconded indeed to Wyrmlords ranged weapon ideas!! all great suggestions if can be implemented!! and also the points on the armor – I was JUST about to comment this right now I have to choose.. leather armor…OR bracers…OR helmet etc and all of these give +1defence so really a toss up lol…..the notion of the secondary abilities like with cloak of shadow is however AMAZING and would probably be good if all items had this effect to give more individuality etc to the equipment choices!

To publish a quest you need your username and passcode. You get them when you access the “online” section in the game.
The nickname is the one you chose at the beginning, to check your passcode click the “key” button in the online section of the game.
Let me know if you still have problems,
I mean you get them in the mobile game, not in the editor 🙂
Great game, reminds me of HeroQuest so much. I like that you have kept it simple. I love the simplicity of it and it easily can be played by my family who are not familiar with RPG’s.
Another board game we played was TSR’s Dungeon. In that game you got injured and missed a turn or dropped a treasure. Id like to see more dangers…more traps…and risks for doing things. Maybe a gremlin monster that steals something. Blindness that can randomly change your characters selected steps. Cursed which makes them miss. Fear which makes them miss a turn. Of course not all should last a long time or make the game too difficult.
I’m a DM at heart so I’m not very much player-centric. More Dungeon-centric. 😉

I just downloaded the update for Arcane Quest from Google Play. It promissed 4 new characters to play, yet they are not there! Is something wrong with the update? As a Dungeon Master who designed his own dungeons for Hero Quest I LOVE this game!

Great great game. But there is one issue when I play it on my tablet (Acer Iconia, A1-810). The abilities of the hero´s are just shown half or no visible and of the equipment in the shop are not shown. The special abilities from the hero´s are missing completly. Is there maybe a older version or a bugfix, becuase I like the game very much but with that handycap the fun goes missing 🙁

I have Problems with viewing the game on my tablet. Is there a bugfix or setting were I can fix the issue? The Problem is that I can´t see the special abilities of the weapons and the hero´s.

Absolutely love the game, simplicity, editor, awesomeness! It’s like you knew I was craving an old-school dungeon crawler and my friends and relatives refused to humor me in it! Solo baby! Lol. I love the strong heroquest element. I own the board game and was wondering for the next game about redone original herouest quests? I admit I loathe the assassin but the cleric and evoker and ranger are awesome classes. Also, what if the wizard had n extra pool of spells like in heroquest. I truly feel he’s underpowered in the game and is my only real balance issue. He almost always dies before the end. I don’t feel just two groups of spells is enough for him. Love the game. Can’t wait for 3. How about monster programming in the editor to allow users to make their own simple AI? That would be amazing! Keep up the good work! Thanks for such a great escape game!

Lots of good suggestions already made, I`ll add just a couple:
– movement: you should be able to advance directly to the max number rolled (when you roll 12+6 on your elf it is frustrating push 18 times for a single turn)
– items: add different stats if possible, chance of double attack/defense – chance to disable traps etc.

This is the second game app I’ve spent money on. Its a great game and I am having a blast. However, I have a question and a few concerns and suggestions.
These save spheres are causing me a ton of grief. I found the first portals one and the second though only the first portal is orange colored. The second is blue. I didnt catch what the crystals looked like, or exactly where i got them. Now Im just wandering around in the third portal, Ive killed everything in every dungeon there… seached everywhere and cant seem to find another save crystal for the third portal. Is there a more comprehensive guide somewhere? Seems there are 4 dungeons in the 3rd portal and ive seen every square inch of them. Any help would be great.
On to some concerns and suggestions. Why are merc’s so useless? For the price they are and the fact they just end up killed every time is a bit of a put off. Maybe make them resurectable or more space for them to carry potions? Reduce their costs? Anything would be an improvmemt.
Also, the loss of items, levels and such when you die is a little to harsh. I bought your biggest pack of gold, get to level 18 and last save was lvl 12. Thats basically my whole 3 dollars down the drain. Maybe a little less harsh punishment for dying? Dont get me wrong, having something to lose does make it exciting but this death almost made me put the game dowm.
The dice system. I took a timer on a fight and my character blocked attacks and a chaos warrior spent 4 mins going back and forth. A little ridiculous.
Lastly, paying for access for all character’s as I did before realizing I wont be playing but one or lose everything almost feels like robbery. The game really needs a second character slot. Hell, Id you fixed half these issues Id buy a few character slots.
Anyway, Im liking the game, it just needs a little more love and you might earn a forever loyal customer (Ive spent 5k on clash).
P.S. online and or multi characters playable at the same time would make this game legendary.
I understand most of your concerns, Arcane Quest Adventures was kinda of an experimental gameplay, and I’m going back to original AQ2 style with the next game. Please stay tuned because Arcane Quest 3 will have everything you say, plus a lot more!
